Shane McConkey: The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Anybody that knows me, knows that I am a daredevil at heart, and although, I have a pretty calm and cool demeanor, I love to chase thrills and live on the wild side. This is most likely due to the fact that I began skiing at aroud 3 years of age, and grew up hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, and any other activity that provided an adrenaline rush. I do not ski anymore, and I regret it daily, however, this fact only adds to my respect for gentlemen like Shane McConkey, who dedicated his life to breaking barriers in the skiing world. This man was a genius and truly advanced the sport that he loved.

McConkey, sadly, passed away in March 2009, while practicing a cliff jump for a Red Bull promotional video...

Anjulie is a singer/songwriter who is of Canadien, Indian, and Guyanese origin (ooh la la, lol). I actually noticed her album in Starbucks and decided to see what she was all about. Here's a video of her older song, "The Heat."

I thought this was interesting, because although blogging and social media have taken the world by storm, they haven't even began to make their mark in the way they will revolutionzie business and worldwide communication...
